Hello ! Who are you and what are you working on?

I'm a marketing consultant who helps creative people become better marketers! I use story writing and marketing technology to build sales funnels that grow your business.

What motivated you to get started with? How did you come up with the idea?

I purchased the business from another consultant.

Can you tell us the story of your business from idea to where you are now?

I was hired by a consultant and then he helped me take over this business.

What has been your biggest failure or struggle?

I've struggled to find the right offering, the plans & products that appeal to people.

How many hours a day do you work on average & can you describe/outline your typical day?

I usually work about 7-8 hours a day. I go into my office around 9AM and plan my day using the bullet journal technique. Then I work on the most important projects first.

And what has been your biggest achievement or success?

My biggest success is building the life that I want to live, and providing for my family.

Since launch, what has worked to attract and retain customers?

I've had success with word of mouth referral campaigns, asking customers to refer me to their friends.

Describe the process of launching the business.

I made an offer on the business and negotiated the terms of takeover.

Did you use Betalist or PH or other Startup Launching Platform for Launching ? How was that experience ?

No I did not.

What’s your business model, and how have you grown your revenue?

I provide consulting services for a flat rate. I've grown revenue by becoming more efficient and providing advanced services to my clients.

What are the biggest challenges you’ve faced and obstacles you’ve overcome? What are your goals for the future?

My biggest challenge has been finding the right tools to do my job, and describing my services to clients in a way that makes them excited to work with me. My goals are to create assets that I can build once and sell multiple times.

I use email outreach through Growbots.

Do you have a model to get product feedback? What’s your favorite way to get product feedback? Did product feedback help you get the results you hoped for ?

I do not have a way to get feedback.

Through starting the business, have you learned anything particularly helpful or advantageous?

I've learned what I'm good at, and what activities make me happy at work.

What platform/tools do you use for your business?

Growbots, Zapier, Gmail, Todoist, Hubspot, Google Drive.

Ben Tossel; makerpad. Tobi Lutke; Shopify.

What have been the most influential books, podcasts, or other resources?

Jocko podcast, Building a Storybrand (donald miller), Atomic habits (james clear).

What’s your advice for fellow aspiring entrepreneur who are just starting out?

Don't worry about what others think of you, or what other people are doing to be successful. You need to find what works for you.
